Last year we were out in Tajikistan.
Almost 4 weeks the trip went across the country in the Pamir Mountains, along the Afghan border, past the Hindukush to Kyrgyzstan.
We were traveling with 6 different vehicles, hiking with 4 donkeys, bathing in 8 ° C warm mountain lakes and in 38 ° C cold springs.
Stayed with various families and in a Kyrgyz yurt, crossed flooded streets and struggled with numerous breakdowns (and not just car breakdowns). Were shopping in the no man’s land between Afghanistan and Tajikistan, slaughtered sheep – at least watched it and fished our own dinner.
In short: a nice adventure vacation!
